Festival Fever

by Gracie Blatchford

Festival season is upon us which means it’s time to answer the most important question of all… what will I wear?!

If you’re wondering how to look chic while also being comfortable (because let’s be honest, who wants to walk around for hours in high heels?), here are a few tips to consider when picking out your festival outfits that I even follow myself!

1. WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES

You’re likely to be walking around majority of the weekend amongst thousands of people in the heat. It’s all fun and games until you find yourself in a mosh pit getting your toes stepped on.

Try to shoot for flat sandals, flat boots, ankle boots with a thick heel or some cute sneakers. If you’re planning on dancing, comfy shoes make it a lot easier ;)

2. BRING A BACKPACK OR WEAR A CROSSBODY

While you’re dancing and walking around, you’re not going to want to worry about your handbag getting stolen or left on the ground. You can find trendy small bags that make carrying all of the little extras like water bottles, money, sunscreen, and a portable charger so much easier! Crossbody bags work for a great light bag you can wear without getting tired of carrying it.

These are my faves: GUESS Fringe Backpack or LEELA CLUTCH

3. HATS ADD THE PERFECT TOUCH TO YOUR OUTFIT

The right hat can totally transform your look and complete an outfit. I wore a hat at Coachella last year and it was the best decision of my life. After standing in the sun for hours your face might get burned. Besides, basic is boring-- spice it up!

4. SUNGLASSES SAVE LIVES

That sad moment when you’re watching your favorite artist play on stage and you can barely see because the sun is blinding you… Sunglasses are great accessories that look cool and help with the beaming sun. Not to mention they also act as a shield from the dust when the wind blows.

5. BE PREPARED FOR THE WEATHER

You never really know for sure whether it’s going to rain or not so why not be prepared and bring a light raincoat or poncho to carry in your backpack! Nighttime can also get fairly chilly; while you’re walking around a light jacket comes in very clutch.

This is a fab look: Distressed Denim Jacket

Well then girls, I hope that helps answer any questions about what to wear so you can have the best festival experience while looking FIRE! xx
