Spring Trend Report
by Laura Martinez
Spring is about to sneak up on us faster than finals week when you’ve spent the semester everywhere but the library. Sorry Sir Punxsutawney, but we just don’t see 6 more weeks of winter happening with the current warming trend. Before you know it, all the Fall and Winter fashion advice I’ve given will be packed away alongside our winter coats with similar hopes to still be in season next year. So, I’ve rounded up the four top spring trends to make sure your style is perfect once spring has sprung. Read on to learn more about these trends and shop our favorite pieces by clicking on the linked caption!
Ruching details are having a major comeback, just like everything else from the 90s. The ruching of 2018 is more subtle than that of the past, with just some seams ruched rather than an all-over effect. Get your clothes in a bunch with these favorite pieces of ours:
2. Black and White Mini Dots
Subtle polka dots are the perfect antidote to spring florals. Better yet, mix the two for an outfit full of interesting contrast.
3. Asymmetrical Neckline
Off-the-shoulder neckline had its heyday, and now its edgy sister is here to play. A little afraid of this trend? Us, too! Ease into it by pairing a top with your favorite jeans or go-to skirt, or by choosing an asymmetrical neckline bodycon dress in your most flattering color.
We’re all about the ultra-violet trend in every hue it comes in, especially lavender for the spring season.
